Today I worked on the 'Russian Doll' idea, to add a background to the poster. Although the plain white allows the imagery to be the hero, it's not as inviting as it could be with a bright background. I decided to add in a background that looks like a nice sunny beach, in the same basic vector style to the rest. This fits in with the overall style of the poster, and definitely appears more inviting, and will get the audience to come look at the poster. The aim is to draw them initially with the bright colours, so that they then see the trash inside the fishes mouth, and how the flow on effect throughout the food chain will eventually mean the human consumes the man-made trash.
